Rise of the Tomb Raider // Square Enix
One year after releasing exclusively on XBOX Consoles, Square Enix’s Rise of the Tomb Raider was coming to Playstation, and needed a fresh injection of energy to garner the attention of Sony-exclusive fans anew. Enter the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration Challenge – two episodes of original content bringing the spirit of Nickelodeon’s Legends of the Hidden Temple back to life. We gathered 8 influencers, paired them up, and had them compete in a series of challenges inspired by the tombs, traps and puzzles from Rise of the Tomb Raider. Hosted by Nerdist’s Jessica Chobot, the activation created original content and leveraged influencer cast-members to generate awareness pre-, during and post-show.
In addition to original content, we developed a custom digital program to engage fans and promote retail pre-orders - a series of escalating photo, social and trivia challenges to keeping Lara’s adventures top of mind leading up to launch.
